Van Ness Main Street welcomes volunteers to help us operate our program and better serve our community. Flexible volunteer opportunities exist, so getting involved is easy and rewarding! Whether you need community service hours, want an unpaid internship to boost your resume, or just want to donate your time with a great organization that could utilize your strengths and experience.

Events
Van Ness Main Street hosts a variety of events throughout the year including Art All Night, Movie Night in the Park at the UDC Amphitheater, bulb planting along Connecticut Avenue, our annual Holiday Pop-Up and other events that promote our small businesses and build community across Van Ness, Forest Hills, and Wakefield.

​Office Assistance
Helping with social media, creating marketing for events including high quality images from throughout our community, and delivering advertising flyers are just some of the areas we need help with. We have flexible hours and our office is within walking distance from the Van Ness/UDC Metro.

​Landscaping/Watering
Working with other volunteers to help keep Van Ness beautiful by watering our plants that are in pots and assisting with tree box landscaping.
