Celebrate the Heart of Van Ness Main Street during National Small Business Month!
Join us Sunday, May 16th from 1-4 pm as we stroll the avenue in Van Ness, Wakefield and Forest Hills to enjoy food and drink specials, a Selfie Scavenger Hunt, sidewalk chalk art (for all ages) our new Spring NOW plantings and more!

Here's what we have planned so far:

• Rosemary Bistro Café: Serving $3 mimosas and free fruit punch for kids outside of the restaurant from 1-4pm at 5010 Connecticut Ave.
• Acacia Food & Wine: Barks & Brews Pop-up on the Patio, 1-4 pm. Bring your pups and meet new friends! All 12oz beer is $6 and Belgian Style Fries are $6. Reserve your table here. 4340 Connecticut Ave.
• Bread Furst: Blue Heart Sugar Cookies to celebrate the heart of Van Ness Main Street! $2.50 ea., starts at 1pm, while supplies last. 4434 Connecticut Ave.
• Sugar Fox: Walk your dog to Sugar Fox! Get 1 free pup scoop with any purchase at Sugar Fox between 2-4 pm on May 16. And, come check out their new "pup parking" outside! 5035 Connecticut Ave.
• Nantucket Clam Shack: Beach Blanket Raffle. Purchase a Nantucket Clam Shack meal kit for two or four people and you'll automatically be entered into the Beach Blanket Raffle! Two, lush, double-wide blankets will be given out on May 16th. Retail value: $99
• I'm Eddie Cano: Receive a complimentary bottle of Rosé when you place a takeout order of $100 or more. Offer good on Sunday, May 16th only.
• Calvert Woodley: Receive a free split of Prosecco (187 ml) with the purchase of $40 or more in the store. Sunday May 16th only.
• Uptown Market will Celebrate the Heart of Van Ness Main Street with a National Mimosa Day special!! Purchase a bottle of Biutiful Brut Cava and receive one free quart of Natalie's Orange Juice! While you're there, visit their coffee bar for a .99 cent bomba - Uptown's delicious fried dough fritters filled with a fruity jelly. *Offer only available on May 16th.
• Selfie Scavenger Hunt: Find one of 12 blue hearts around the corridor, take a selfie with the heart and post to Instagram telling us what the Heart of Van Ness Main Street means to you. Our judges will pick the best and award a $100 gift card! Be sure to tag #HeartofVNMS. We'll be dropping hints on the locations of the hearts within the business districts of Van Ness, Forest Hills and Wakefield.
• Sidewalk Chalk and Art Cart: For kids AND adults! Join us outside of the VNMS office at 4340 Connecticut Ave where we'll have sidewalk chalk, coloring books and art supplies from the VNMS Art Cart. Great for all ages. FREE, 1-4 pm.
