Help us bring some color to the corridor and the small businesses along Connecticut Ave between Van Ness Street and Nebraska Ave, every Saturday and Sunday from 1-4 PM, March 26 - April 17th!
Friends and neighbors of all ages are invited to join master gardener Kathy Sykes in planting seeds and flowers in the tree boxes up and down Connecticut Avenue to add to the growing perennial gardens and pollinator corridors we started in 2019!
SIGN UP: Please contact Kathy directly with your available dates and times along with your cell phone number in case of cancellation due to weather. She'll provide the day's exact planting location closer to the time. Please include 'Bulb Planting' in the message line and send an email to [email protected]. Kathy will add rain dates as needed.
Recommend: Dress in comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Feel free to bring gloves and your favorite gardening tools. All other supplies will be provided. This volunteer activity is perfect for all ages.
